Where the Spirit of the Lord is
there freedom it shall reign
dispelling the darkest of gloom
in lifting Jesus’ name

for Satan wills the soul of man
to rot in hell’s domain
amid turmoil the spirits move
in hopes that men are slain

but freedom breaks the bonds of hate
such power God retains
in giving life through His own words
no enemy remains
____
for the Spirit does bear witness
God’s words are not in vain
most powerful indeed they prove
the worth of Jesus’ name

take heart and live believe the Word
such wealth in which you gain
through faith God works to bring about
the glory of His name

oh the mighty presence of God
shall always there remain
ability to soar above
emotions that can drain

and Jesus holds the key of life
His words are true and plain
believing them becomes our course
then freedom it shall reign
